That single question led to the creation of BilletFlux™ - Blacksheep Power’s patented motor system built for the next generation of high-performance electric motorbikes.

Instead of using conventional wire-wound stators, BilletFlux™ transforms CNC-machined solid copper into perfectly aligned electromagnetic fields - engineering power without wires.

A New Kind of Motor Engineering

Traditional electric drive systems waste space and heat in complex windings. Our BilletFlux™ changes that by ensuring every millimetre of copper contributes directly to propulsion efficiency.

From the first experimental cuts in 2023 to a road-ready prototype delivering 700 Nm of torque, 35 kW peak power, and sub-5-second acceleration to 100 km/h, BilletFlux™ evolved through three generations of precision engineering.

From Concept to Power System

1 - First Generation - Air-Core Concept

• EDM-machined copper billets
• Air-core architecture
• Structure separated from conductor pathways

This stage proved the concept of winding-free power generation and set the foundation for real magnetic control.

2 - Second Generation - Magnetic Focus

• Laminated silicon-steel core
• Integrated cooling concept
• Enhanced field alignment and torque response

This phase brought BilletFlux™ closer to scalable production and performance stability.

3 - Third Generation - Full Integration

• CNC-machined copper billets
• Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) core
• Carbon-fibre stator plate and fully integrated cooling

These were the stator architectures that shaped our journey toward The Blacksheep ONE - each a step forward in power, precision, and cooling. The version debuting at Motorcycle Live 2025 is the next evolution - a fully refined system built on everything we learned along the way.
